Back in early January, I woke up and couldn’t get out of bed because my lower back was in excruciating pain. I tried everything to get any relief, stretching, walking, heat, ice, injections into the spine. I’m in my thirties and was walking around like I was in my 100s, hunched over and grabbing walls just to keep from falling over because of the pain. Had to take several days off work because I couldn’t even sit up. The pain was so bad in my leg and shot down all the way to my pinkie toe, it was absolutely awful. I was terrified at the thought of surgery, especially with the spine, but Dr. Lim assured me that this discectomy would help. It was crazy, the day after surgery all the pain in my leg was gone, my back was obviously sore but the day after I could already feel improvement. It has now been 5 months after and it’s amazing the process I have made and I’m no longer in pain, it took a little while and slow progression, walking definitely helped. If you are suffering with the kind of pain I had, I highly recommend going through this procedure and seeing Dr. Lim. I know surgery is not the ideal situation but sometimes it is the solution.

Dr. LIM, Meghan and the entire team are absolutely the best. They all made my first ever - significant surgery the Best experience I could have imagined. Even after the surgery, I never felt that I couldn’t reach out to the team with questions and concerns. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Meghan to check on me. I came to Reston Hospital in extreme pain from a herniated disc. Dr Lim was on his way home at the end of the day. As soon as he saw the MRI he dropped everything and performed an emergency surgery. Can’t say enough about the professionalism of the doctor and his staff.
