Meghan A. Martin, LNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Meghan A. Martin joined the Atlantic Brain and Spine team as a board certified family nurse practitioner in 2016. She assists with initial patient evaluations, provides perioperative care, performs post-surgical follow-ups and works closely with patients post-surgery using Enhanced Recovery After Surgery techniques. Meghan holds specialty certifications as both a critical care registered nurse and as a neuroscience registered nurse.

Before moving to the Northern Virginia area she gained extensive experience working in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, OH. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio State University in 2006, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2015.

After moving to Northern Virginia her experience was further augmented as a registered nurse at the Reston Hospital Center where she worked in the Critical Care Unit. As a member of the Education Committee, she was responsible for training and mentoring other nurses in neurological care.

She is an active member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and served as president of the Central Ohio Chapter of the AANN.
